Memos 26.11.0 fixes typing Japanese and Korean in Safari and makes attachment failures visible instead of opaque. The server cache and upgrades from 0.31 deployment files are also more reliable.

Upgrade notes

  • Upgrade path - Upgrade directly from 26.10.0. Installations on 0.31.0 or earlier follow the 26.10 upgrade path and can install 26.11.0 in place of 26.10.0.
  • Unread /etc/secrets files - Since 26.10.0, the deployment configuration files in /etc/secrets (memos-idp-*.json, memos-instance-setting-*.json) are not read. Startup now logs a warning naming any that are still present, so settings they used to provide, such as an S3 storage or an identity provider, no longer revert silently. Move them into /etc/memos/config as declarative configuration.

Fixes and polish

  • Editor - Typing Japanese or Korean in Safari no longer selects the first word of a new line while the input method is composing.
  • Attachments - When an attachment cannot be read, the server answers with a JSON error instead of labelling it as the file's own type, so a PDF that fails to load no longer reaches the browser's viewer as a broken document. Missing local files return 404, and every failure is logged with its cause.
  • Server - The in-memory cache keeps its entry count exact and no longer drops a fresh write when an expired entry under the same key is removed at the same moment, so it stays within its size limit under load.
